Mark Warburton has made his January transfer pitch to the Ibrox board on the eve of Rangers’ annual meeting.Shareholders will vote on a resolution seeking approval for fresh capital into the club. Chairman Dave King is in Glasgow for the event and while Warburton would not be drawn on the resolution, he insists he is happy with the backing he has had from the club’s directors.“We talk to Stewart [Robertson] and Andrew [Dickson] every day and they’re the mouthpiece through to the chairman and the board,” he said. “So we brought in 20-odd players, you don’t do that without good communication and good backing from the board.” “Largely the communication is always very good, very strong, so there’s no sudden announcement.“It’s about us constantly talking, putting forward proposals and chatting with Stewart and Andrew. The board meetings are great, they’re a chance to sit and talk through.”He added: “We’ll present this afternoon in terms of what we think about going forward. As I say, the communication lines are very strong so there’s no debate there.“We know exactly where we are. The backing we have received, we brought in 20-odd players, in 18 months there has been a complete revamp of the squad.
