first_imgShare This!Sponsored by Storybook DestinationsAhoy, mateys! I’m Heather, and I’ll be bringing you the up and coming on all things Disney Cruise Line. Welcome back again this week. Let’s see what’s new in the DCL world!Ports of Call Upcoming EntertainmentThe following films are being shown aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships this month:Captain MarvelDumbo Disneynature: PenguinsAvengers: EndgameAladdin Toy Story 4 Lion KingThe Nightmare Before ChristmasMaleficent: Mistress of Evil For future reference, films debut on Disney Cruise Line the same day of their initial release in the United States. Films do vary by ship. Show times are available in your Personal Navigator or the official Disney Cruise Line app.Captain’s Log: Important Tips and InformationIf you love, nay, require coffee to start you day, I have a very important PSA. Very. Important.THERE IS NO COFFEE ON CASTAWAY CAY!When mother nature is cooperating and the ship is safely in port, the all ashore time can be pretty “early” in the morning. (Early is very much a relative term based on sleeping patterns, especially on vacation.) Since time on Castaway is precious, you may feel that you want to maximize every minute – ready to rope drop the gangway as soon as the all clear is announced. Just don’t, don’t, don’t do it without getting your coffee first! There’s many options to get your java fill onboard. There’s all the coffee you can drink in Cabanas, the main dining room, and up on the pool deck at the self-serve drink locations. Looking for a little more? The Cove Cafe will steam up a latte or make you a nice (double) espresso to get going, for an additional fee. One favorite trick – order a carafe of coffee from room service the night before. The carafes are well insulated, and you’ll have a nice warm cup of joe as soon as your feet hit the floor! Why is there no coffee on the island? This seems to be a mystery. I’ve asked and asked, and the answer is always the same – why indeed? If a nice iced coffee on the beach would really make your Castaway day even better – put that note on the comment card on your next cruise! Maybe we can make all our coffee-dependent voices heard!Special thanks to Scott Sanders of the Disney Cruise Line Blog for assistance on this article. Thanks for joining me again this week. “Sea” you next time! The Disney Cruise Line Preview is brought to you by Storybook Destinations.
