Ducati’s latest naked super sports, the Monster 821 is all set to be launched tomorrow for the Indian motorcycle market. The Monster 821 will be launched in India tomorrow and is slated to get a host of new features and updates over the current Monster 821. The most important change slated to be for the Monster 821 will be changed from BS3 to BS4 emission regulations. The Monster 821 is slated to get a more muscular design, with headlamp borrowed from the Monster 1200. The instrument panel is full-colour TFT display now. The Monster 821 will also be getting a whole new electronics package which consists of Ducati Safety Pack which in turn has a three-level Bosch ABS, eight-level traction and three riding modes – Urban, Touring, and Sport. Also, the upcoming Monster 821 will get a new double-barrel exhaust with an added quickshifter with slipper clutch. The Monster 821 will be powered by the same earlier spec engine, although the power has gone down by 2bhp. The 821cc Testastretta v-twin engine now churns out 109bhp of power and 86Nm of power. The powertrain is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension on the 821 is taken care by 43mm USD forks on the front and adjustable monoshock at the rear.Ducati is expected to price the Monster 821 at around Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom. The Monster 821 will go head-on with the Triumph Street Triple RS and the Kawasaki Z900.
