Which teams are going to fall short of it? AD Quality Auto 360p 720p 1080p ESPN’s FPI has named three teams for the latter category. The Football Power Index believes these three teams will disappoint in 2019.1. Ohio StatePreseason FPI rating: No. 13 (Photo by Jeff Gross/Getty Images)Ohio State has a new head coach and a new starting quarterback in Ryan Day and Justin Fields, respectively. Because of this, the FPI isn’t quite as high on the Buckeyes as the preseason top 25 polls are. ESPN’s computer believes Michigan will be the better team – and the Big Ten champion – in 2019.2. TexasPreseason FPI rating: No. 24 (Photo by Jonathan Bachman/Getty Images)Is Texas back? According to the Football Power Index, the answer to that question is a hard no. The Longhorns will barely be a top 25 team in 2019, let alone a College Football Playoff contender.3. MiamiPreseason FPI rating: No. 27 (Photo by Mark Brown/Getty Images)Miami has a new head coach and potentially a new starting quarterback in Ohio State transfer Tate Martell.
